Margate Fall Funfest
is back...
MARGATE, N.J. – It was the biggest
event of the fall. The Margate Fall
Funfest which took place in late
September for years on Amherst
Avenue, was suddenly forced to cease
operation two years ago due to conflicts
on the calendar. Much to the dismay of
the South Jersey public. Joe Tozzi,
President of the Margate Business
Association has decided to bring it back
(hopefully for the next few years at least)
as The Margate Fall Funfest By The Bay,
is returning this September 29th and
30th along Amherst Avenue in Margate.
To kick-off the return of this greatly
anticipated event, the Margate Business
Association is hosting a Funfest Day at
Maynard's Cafe BBQ on Sunday, June
24th from 4pm unitl 8pm. The BBQ
will be held outdoors under the big tent
in the Starlite Garden. Tickets are $10
for adults and $5 for children under 12.
For more information or to purchase
tickets call Sue Reitmeyer 704-8166.
Funfest beneficiaries are the Atlantic
County 4-H Fair Association and
Gilda's Club South Jersey.

BAYSIDE ANTIQUES
Open All Year • We met Gerald
Stevenson back in 1996 when we first
started this magazine. He was one of the
few businesses located in the now
bustling Gardner’s Basin. Back then it
was just Gerald, Jeff George of Atlantic
City Cruises, Maryanne and Ross
Constantino of the Flying Cloud
Restaurant, and the then, Ocean Life
Center, now the Atlantic City Aquarium.
Gerald, like the other four business people
mentioned, believed in the future of
the Basin as a viable and exciting
Atlantic City attraction, and it’s there
where he chose to operate his very successful
Antique Shop. Gerald specializes
in buying entire estates and has
recently taken an interest in buying
older art pieces. Whether buying or selling,
Gerald is a pleasure to deal with,
and is a walking encyclopedia when it
comes to antiques. For more information
