Many free publications claim they do a lot of things. Dan Klein's South Jersey Insider Magazine is the only one that delivers Print run verification... Click here
The next time a "Free Publication" representative tells you about the number of printed copies, distribution, etc.
Tell 'em to prove it!
As an advertiser you're paying for the number of printed copies. That's what advertising rates are based on. Many free publications inflate, or downright lie, about their actual printed copy number in order to justify their rates to advertisers, and make their publications seem bigger than they are. At the South Jersey Insider, we can't let that go unchallenged. So, as I stated above, the next time a rep tells you the number of copies they print, tell 'em to prove it!
If it is what they say, they should be happy to comply, if not, I recommend you tell them
good-bye.

What’s on the plate in 2008...
Well, if it’s the plate of Atlantic City development we’re talking about, you couldn’t get
anymore on it if you tried. “Piled high” is a term we would use to describe the state of
developmental affairs in Atlantic City for 2008. Very high. Of course, there’s a lot of other
stuff that goes on in Atlantic City that could be piled into mountains, but that's a story for
another day. This issue is all about what’s ahead developmentally in the city that’s
always turned on, and Publisher Dan Klein, kicks it off as usual on page 6. Jack
Diamond, our lovable CasinoInsider, tackles casino development for 2008 beginning
on page 34. Included in his list of openings in 2008 is, of course, the much anticipated
Water Club Hotel & Spa at Borgata. Notice we didn’t include the term casino in the
title. That’s because there isn’t one as the newest, most luxurious addition to the
Borgata “bang” will operate as an entirely separate entity, but with all of Borgata’s
amenities, including, of course, its casino. The “piece de resistance” for the project is
the indoor pool on the 28th floor that goes right to the outside glass wall. Talk about your
proverbial “view To Die For.” Over at Boardwalk Hall it’s one big show after another
starting with Hannah Montana and Milley Cyrus on January 5th, to Celine Dion on
September 20th. Mixed in between are R. Kelly, Van Halen, Keith Urban and Carrie
Underwood, Dancing With the Stars, and The Mummer's “Show of Shows”... Of
course, this entire issue is devoted to everything that is worth doing today, tomorrow,
next week, next month as well as months down the road.

On the Cover:
It’s a veritable
“Plateful” of stuff going on in 2008
here in Southern New Jersey, and
it’s our job to bring it to you. As
Usual, we gladly comply. The cover
of this issue of Dan Klein's South
Jersey Insider Magazine, SJI for
short, features a collage of people,
places and things which will impact
2008.

Atlantic County, NJ Remembers the September 11th Tragedy...
The citizens of Atlantic County, NJ, came out in force and packed the Atlantic City Sandcastle Stadium, home of the Atlantic City Surf Professional Baseball Team, on Wednesday September 11th, 2002, to pay homage to our American brothers and sisters, and their families, whose lives were lost and tragically affected by the sneak attack perpetrated upon our shores by the cowards of Al Quaeda.
In addition to paying tribute to the victims of September 11th, the event was a celebration of American spirit, courage and conviction. Background photo shows a packed to the brim Sandcastle Stadium. Photo #1 shows Atlantic City Surf General Manager, Mario Perucci, walking in Police, Fire, EMT, Coast Guard, and Public Officials to their positions on the infield. In photo 2, a NJ State Trooper's address to the audience was both compelling and inspirational. Photos 3 & 4 show "The Homeland Security Caravan" arriving from the Shore Mall in Egg Harbor Township. The motorcade consisted of Police, Fire, EMT, Home Security, County Officials, and Atlantic County residents. It stretched for over a mile and covered half the county en route to the Sandcastle. Photo 5 shows the Miss America Contestants, who were on hand to sing and pay tribute. There were times, as shown in photo 6, that, even during the solemn services and rememberance that folks were smiling and beaming just for being an American. It was a proud day for Atlantic County. Mr. & Mrs. John Burke of Ventnor, NJ stop for terrific photo 7 en route to the event. NJ State Senator Bill Gormley delivers a rousing and emotional tribute to the victims and their families in photo 8. Barbara Altman dones an umbrella to sheild from the hot September sun as she broadcasts the event live on News Talk 1400 AM WOND. Photo 10 shows Atlantic City Policeman Steve Palmiero standing at the ready. Like the man in photo 11, the afternoon was wrapped in the American Flag. It was a day of humble rememberance of the fragility of life, the cold reality of the suddeness of loss, and the temperance, will and determination to press on...
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
