Tell 'em to prove it!
As an advertiser you're paying for the number of printed copies. That's what advertising rates are based on. Many free publications inflate, or downright lie, about their actual printed copy number in order to justify their rates to advertisers, and make their publications seem bigger than they are. At the South Jersey Insider, we can't let that go unchallenged. So, as I stated above, the next time a rep tells you the number of copies they print, tell 'em to prove it!
If it is what they say, they should be happy to comply, if not, I recommend you tell them
good-bye.

What’s on the plate in 2008...
Well, if it’s the plate of Atlantic City development we’re talking about, you couldn’t get
anymore on it if you tried. “Piled high” is a term we would use to describe the state of
developmental affairs in Atlantic City for 2008. Very high. Of course, there’s a lot of other
stuff that goes on in Atlantic City that could be piled into mountains, but that's a story for
another day. This issue is all about what’s ahead developmentally in the city that’s
always turned on, and Publisher Dan Klein, kicks it off as usual on page 6. Jack
Diamond, our lovable CasinoInsider, tackles casino development for 2008 beginning
on page 34. Included in his list of openings in 2008 is, of course, the much anticipated
Water Club Hotel & Spa at Borgata. Notice we didn’t include the term casino in the
title. That’s because there isn’t one as the newest, most luxurious addition to the
Borgata “bang” will operate as an entirely separate entity, but with all of Borgata’s
amenities, including, of course, its casino. The “piece de resistance” for the project is
the indoor pool on the 28th floor that goes right to the outside glass wall. Talk about your
proverbial “view To Die For.” Over at Boardwalk Hall it’s one big show after another
starting with Hannah Montana and Milley Cyrus on January 5th, to Celine Dion on
September 20th. Mixed in between are R. Kelly, Van Halen, Keith Urban and Carrie
Underwood, Dancing With the Stars, and The Mummer's “Show of Shows”... Of
course, this entire issue is devoted to everything that is worth doing today, tomorrow,
next week, next month as well as months down the road.

After an unusually warm summer, many "Wiz" readers are looking forward to the fall football season this year. Fantasy leagues and football pools abound in our area. Please be advised that no casino offers a better deal for pig skin aficionados than Ballys with their annual Bally Bowl football pool contest.
All you need to participate in this year's Bally Bowl VIII is a free Ballys MVP player's card. This weekly football pool is also free. Over $500,000.00 in prizes are given out by Bally in their Bally Bowl promotion each year. Bally Bowl VIII starts on Sunday, August 25, 2002. To play you must go to the MVP promotions center in the Old Dennis Lounge between Bally and their Wild, Wild, West property and place your player's card in a computerized machine and make your picks on every NFL game for the coming week. Quick picks are available for those who prefer luck instead of using their noodle. All you have to do is pick the actual winners because no point spreads are involved. One divider pick is the over / under scores for Monday night football.
What does Bally get for this costly to Bally, but free to the customer, promotion? They get the added traffic coming into their casino hotel each week. Fortunately, in the event that you wish to test Lady Luck beyond NFL games, Bally is the best casino to play in because of their favorable odds, great promotions, and generous cashback policies.
